South American Yerba Matte
When you come to Argentina you'll find people not crying for it anymore. Evita is gone and so is the financial crisis of many years ago. It's neighbor, Uraguay, is also on a much smoother road politically.
As a matter of fact, it's almost a replay of the good 'ol hippie days, with a bit more awareness of what's going on around you.
Goodbye weed, joints, roaches and now a numbered term, which I can't recall, something like 624.
In South America there's a legal substance (organic) called Yerba Matte (Yerba Mate) It's like a hot tea, the new alternative to coffee. And there's more added benefits--it eradicates hunger and there's a huge dose of Vitamin C in each cup.
Supposedly, it's tasty too.
Not only is it a drink, but it's also and art. You see people drinking it out of similar cups, each round with a straw, but made with a variety of materials. Of course, they sell these cups everywhere in the market.

Exquisite photography, Matt.
I've taken some tentative steps in the direction of editorial photography, however, I have kept it separate from my blog.
Examples are HERE and HERE
This is truly a inspiring site, and would love to add this blog to my links list.
I bought some Yerba Matte at an Islamic grocery store nearby, but forgot what it's good for.
Thanks for the info. Vit C? Good. I'm gonna make some now.
Listen to the bands Stars in Coma and The London Apartments for nice mellow shoegaze.
