St. Peters through a Yellow Filter on La Bofona

Just got back from Vatican City. Even though I thought Christmas was over, evidently in Italy it's not. Today was La Bofana. La Bofana is a celebration that includes kind of a female version of Santa Claus.

Meanwhile, at St. Peters (above, taken with a yellow filter attached to my lens), there was no Pope to give a holiday greeting to children. Guess that's not part of the holiday. Darn what's a picture of St. Peters without the Pope?

Pope or no Pope, most families were very busy in Rome today on the day of La Bofona.
