Westwood Fox Theater Box Office

Ah, the old movie box office...

This one's in the Westwood neighborhood of Los Angeles.

Didn't have a tripod for the shot, so I leaned my camera in the cranny of post and shot the image.

If you look closely each light of the string of lights lining the building is a star. That has to be one of the best slow shutter speed effects. In order to get it, you have to set your f-stop high (narrow aperture) on the order f/16.

One thing is for sure, they don't make box offices like this anymore. All the newer ones are inside the main building, not housed in a little unattached building in front like this one.

Oh, by the way, this is the box office at the Fox movie theater, a classic building with a huge tower that marks the center of Westwood. Westwood is very near the UCLA campus, so there's always lots of college students milling around, like those you see in the image.
